The peep-toe style courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana has remained a favorite of Lopez’s over the years. A pair she’s worn both on and off the red carpet, Lopez sported them on her Parisian honeymoon with Ben Affleck in 2022 and at the New York City premiere of “Hustlers” in 2019.

The “Jenny From the Block” singer tucked her see-through silk chiffon shirt, also by Dolce & Gabbana, into her low-rise jeans featuring a subtle flared leg. On top of her belly-baring blouse, she donned a light blue Gucci blazer boasting a velvet trim along the lapels and front pockets. The look delivers an early aughts-inspired aesthetic.

Lopez recently wore another pair of towering platform heels by Dolce & Gabbana at the 2024 IndieWire Honors on Dec. 5. She paired a shimmering gown with gold metallic sandals for the occasion, which saw her accept the Maverick Award.

In the past month, the “Marry Me” actress has stepped out in various other, larger-than-life platform silhouettes, including Ugg’s popular Mini boots, Elie Saab peep-toe leather slingback sandals, and Ermanno Scervino ankle boots.

When it comes to her shoe style of late, Lopez has also proven herself to be a fan of slouchy knee-high boots, Brunello Cucinelli combat boots, and Nike sneakers. Throughout her career, Lopez has taken on several fashion endeavors, including a collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti in 2017. She went on to launch a namesake shoe line with DSW in 2020.

“Unstoppable” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 6. The film follows the true story of Anthony Robles, a child born without a leg who becomes a champion wrestler. Lopez plays the athlete’s mother, Judy Robles.

The brand’s latest effort that is sure to turn heads is with Dr. Martens.

Arriving in early December are two new iterations of the Dr. Martens Lowell silhouette, reimagined by Awake NY. The looks, Awake NY explained, are inspired by “the spirit and flare of NYC subcultures.”

For the collaboration, Awake NY reimagined the British footwear brand’s 4-eye shoe by employing hair-on leather on the uppers, with one look executed in a vibrant green hue and the other in peony navy. Both iterations of the Lowell feature contrasting black oiled leather backstraps, tonal stitch detailing across the quarter and moc-toe vamp, comfort padded collars and gold star eyelets. The uppers sit atop Dr. Martens’ rugged smoke Ben outsoles with yellow welt stitching. For a customizable look, each pair comes with three sets of colored laces.

To promote the collaboration, they brands have created campaign inspired by Cumbia music, which is a Latin American music genre that originated in Colombia and is defined by its African, European and Amerindian influences.

The Awake NY x Dr. Martens Lowell collection arrives Dec. 6 via Drmartens.com and Awakenyclothing.com, as well as the Awake NY store in New York City and at select retailers. The shoes retail for $180.

Stuart Weitzman and Swarovski’s platform for collaborations, Swarovski Creators Lab, have joined forces to develop a glittering party shoe just in time for the holiday season.

The limited-edition Stuart Power Shine pump sees the brand’s new 2.95-inch heels decked with over 6,000 tonal Swarovski pavé crystals.

Dropping on Monday, the design is available in two metallic shades exclusive to Swarovski, including one encrusted with silver-toned clear crystals and the other with golden light topaz. These add to three other colorways, comprising rose pink, peridot green and ice blue.

Priced at 850 euros ($884 at current exchange), the Stuart Weitzman for Swarovski Creators Lab pumps are available in select Swarovski and Stuart Weitzman stores globally and at both brands e-commerce sites.

Launched in 2021, Swarovski’s platform already counts a long roster of partnerships, as previous tie-ups resulted in special Amina Muaddi and Aquazzura sandals, Judith Leiber handbags, Nike Women’s Air Force 1 LXX sneakers, a FAO Schwarz nutcracker statuette and a crystallized basketball developed with streetwear brand Market. In 2022, Swarovski Creators Lab embarked on its first ready-to-wear collaboration with Advisory Board Crystals and teamed with high-end sneaker brand Golden Goose for a sparkly version of the signature Super-Star style and a special skateboard.

Last year, it joined forces with Puma for the German sportswear brand’s 75th anniversary and with the Dover Street Market Paris Brand Development hub for a trifecta of collaborations with emerging fashion brands, partnering with WeinsantoLiberal Youth Ministry and Phileo to develop exclusive styles of bag, apparel and footwear. 

Swarovski Crystal Business has a global reach with about 2,300 stores and multibrand partners in more than 140 countries and employs 16,600 people. Together with its sister companies Swarovski Optik (optical devices) and Tyrolit (abrasives), it forms the Swarovski Group.

Cabello’s limited-edition version of the brand’s signature statement shoe, the “Moopie,” features a white mesh upper with gray overlays, light blue piping, blue pull tabs, and playful silver bubble rubber soles.

Taking to Instagram to debut the collaboration, the “Havana” hitmaker shared a slideshow of herself modeling the daring lace-up sneakers in bed. “@grounds.official and I have collaborated to make our own blue hour shoe inspired by c,xoxo and the blue colors of the Miami post-sunset sky,” she captioned the post. “I wore Grounds so much while writing this album and festival rehearsals, they’re unique and comfy and they make me taller hehe.”

The Cuban-born singer-songwriter models a white graphic cropped tee with turquoise sleeves and coordinating gym shorts in campaign images for the collaboration. The casual sporty outfit complemented the unique shoes effortlessly.

The Tokyo label created by Mikio Sakabe is best known for its flamboyant footwear designs with the “Moopie” collection defined by its exaggerated bubble outsoles. The head-turning style comes in versions with and without laces, as well as a Mary Jane-inspired option. The brand was founded in 2018 and originally named Giddy Up before rebranding.

The Grammy-nominated artist’s love of bold shoes translates to her red carpet style. She regularly wears styles like sparkly pumps and sky-high platform heels when getting dressed up. Recently, she has stepped out in sheer stilettos, patent leather Timberland booties, and Simone Rocha’s avant-garde pleated ballet flat pumps set on a clear sculpted heel.

The Sailor Pluto Boot 95, released as part of Jimmy Choo‘s latest collaboration with “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon,” is proving to be a buzzy topic of conversation online.

One X, formerly Twitter, user posted expressing a strong desire for the shoes, writing, “Less ‘how was ur day babe?’ and more ‘babe i got u the jimmy choo x sailor moon Sailor Pluto 95 boot.'” The Nov. 14 post went viral, amassing 6.2 million views and 240.4k likes by Nov. 18. And now the shoes are currently sold out of every size except for 34.5.

The boots are indeed a hot commodity. Megan Thee Stallion, known anime fan, posted photos to her social media in which she wore a “Sailor Moon”-inspired outfit including the aforementioned boots. Also carrying one of Jimmy Choo’s purses from the collection, the rapper donned the outfit while on a recent trip to Seoul, South Korea.

Many of those interacting with the post commented on the shoes’ hefty price tag. One user wrote, “Right! Where is Steven (Steve madden) when you need him” alongside a sad face emoji.

Inspired by the popular Japanese anime series, the shoe is available from the luxury brand at a price of $2,395. The navy blue boots feature white trim along the top of the shaft and a crystal-adorned red velvet bow on the back ankle. A block heel lifting up the look measures 95 cm. In January 2024, Halle announced the birth of her first child, a son named Halo, with her then-boyfriend rapper DDG, making her sister a proud aunt. “Becoming an aunt has been an amazing milestone for me. Originally created as an over-the-knee boot in shiny rose gold, which launched in May, the new Mary Boot in white patent is the exact style worn by Blige onstage at her Strength of a Woman festival earlier this year.

What’s more, the custom-made pair she wore onstage now lives at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where the iconic artist was inducted earlier last month.

The reaction to my first boot collaboration with Giuseppe really blew me away,” she said. “The new thigh-high version made in winter white patent was born from what my fans wanted. I’ve been asked for years about making my own thigh-high boots and it’s exciting that they’re here now and I get to continue working with my friend Giuseppe.”

While Blige is known as the “Queen of Hip Hop & Soul,” she certainly has earned the title of queen of boots. Since she stepped onto the music scene in the early ’90s with her debut record “What’s the 411?,” Blige has found a way to include the thigh-high boot in red carpet looks or as part of her core stage style through the years.

The T-shirt, which dropped on Nov. 11 features a picture of a younger Tyson holding two pigeons together to make it look like the birds are kissing.

Offered in black and white colorways, the Kith for Mike Tyson Vintage Tee is crafted from durable cotton jersey and the black version boasts a light wash for a vintage look.⁠ Tyson models the shirt in a photo posted to Kith’s Instagram page ahead of the launch.

Now, with the shirt already sold out on kith.com, it’s popping up on resale sites like StockX with a higher price tag. While originally retailing for $70, resellers are pricing the tee for upwards of $100.

The collaboration comes just days before Tyson and Jake Paul’s battle in the ring on Friday. The highly-anticipated fight between the YouTuber-turned-boxer and the former heavyweight champion will be available to stream live on Netflix starting at 8 p.m. EST.

Kith, founded by Ronnie Fieg in 2011, is known for collaborating with a wide range of brands and people, from Versace to Coca-Cola to Tommy Hilfiger and Seth Rogan. In 2021, the lifestyle brand even collaborated with the estates of Martin Luther King Jr. and The Notorious B.I.G. (aka Biggie Smalls). Both collections paid homage to the late icons. In September, Kith joined forces with Giorgio Armani, marking the brand’s first-ever collaboration, and had Martin Scorsese model the collection.

Some of Kith’s most popular shoe collaborations over the years include the Bape “Fiegsta,” the Asics GT 2 ‘Rose Gold,’ the Nike LeBron 15 ‘Long Live the King’ collection, the Asics Gel-Lyte 3 ‘Salmon Toe,‘ the New Balance 1700 ‘Colorist’ (Blue Toe), and the Nike Air Maestro 2.

Tapped by the direct-to-consumer label to develop a focused range dropping on Wednesday, Pozzan is known for having gained popularity through her fashion blog and her presence on social media, where she showcases her style and lifestyle content. “This is the first time I have designed a full collection for a brand, and I really enjoyed the process,” she said. “I’m a big shoe lover, and I’m very specific about the kinds of shoes I like to wear, so being able to design something that was truly inspired by me felt very special.”

Pozzan imbued her eclectic fashion sense – often expressed by blending high fashion with more accessible pieces – into three key designs available in different colorways, with the main style being a wedged knee-high boots in eco leather rendered either in a ice hue or in a black patent version.

“I love the idea of wearing boots as if they were pants and t-shirts as if they were dresses, and I truly do it all the time,” said Pozzan. “I own more boots than shoes — a lot of black ones, especially. Initially, I thought my favorite would be the black patent boots, but I’m quite obsessed with the off-white ones, as well.” Now she hopes other women will feel the same, with none less than Cher leading the pack. “[She] would and should wear my boots!” said the lively talent.

All coming with a graphic, 3.7-inch wedge, styles in the collection also include pumps in white calf leather or black croco-embossed leather, as well as seductive pointy mules available in black leather, rose satin or in fire red patent leather – another personal favorite of Pozzan.

“There’s just something about sexy shoes paired with unexpected outfits that excites me. I also love a wedge heel; it’s so modern and bold. Bold is what I look for in clothes and accessories for bold women,” she said.

Pozzan’s own bubbly personality and enthusiasm were key factors in sparking the collaboration and convincing Scarosso to give her a try as a shoe designer. 

“I met Marta exactly one year ago when I was here for the launch of our collab with Warren Alfie Baker. She was attending the event and a common friend introduced her to me,” recalled Scarosso’s brand manager Gaetano D’Angiulli. “I’ve been immediately captured by her energy, kindness and her strong connection to L.A. but also her bold style. We, at Scarosso are constantly seeking for talents, people we can relate with and establish a connection and I felt Marta could be one of those.”

No wonder the brand decided to create a dedicated campaign fronted by Pozzan herself. The high-drama images alternating closeups on the shoes to full-length portraits of Pozzan wearing her designs dressed in a red gown or wrapped in a vinyl coat are currently decking the streets of L.A., where an event in a private villa on Mulholland Drive will also mark the line’s launch on Wednesday.

Available exclusively on Scarosso’s online store, the collection will come in a special co-branded packaging with prices ranging from 410 euros for the satin mules to 625 euros for the boots.

The launch soirée will follow in the footsteps of the first New York-based event Scarosso hosted in June to mark its tie-up with Linda Rodin, as reported.  

The brand is increasingly investing in the U.S., which has become its second biggest market after the DACH area – comprising Germany, Austria and Switzerland –  and before the Middle East.

D’Angiulli said that overall the company projects to total more than 20 million euros this year, reporting a double-digit growth versus last year, and aims to keep up with such pace in 2025, too. Market-wise, the company is looking to boost its distribution in the U.S. as well as in China going forward. 

Collaborations will continue to play a pivotal role in the process. “Since the beginning, we’ve always sought to establish a strong connection with the U.S., and all our collaborations reflect this, from Brian Atwood and Nick Wooster to Linda Rodin, Warren Alfie Baker, and Matt Hranek, each partnership has deepened our ties to the States,” said D’Angiulli.

To be sure, earlier this year Scarosso – which is based in Milan and produces all its styles in Montegranaro, in Italy’s Marche region – not only released the range with Rodin but also renewed its tie-up with Wooster as well as teamed up with Brooks Brothers on a footwear capsule unveiled at Pitti Uomo in Florence and celebrating the understated American and preppy styles.

“We’re staying true to our value proposition since the beginning, so offering a contemporary take on classics styles and keep all our production entirely made in Italy although the strong raise of raw materials in the last years,” said D’Angiulli. The digital-savvy brand also stepped into the wholesale market last year, when it additionally expanded into the kid’s footwear arena with its  “Loafers for Kids” collection drawing inspiration from the company’s adult line.
