The iconic streetwear brand Stüssy and Dr. Martens have joined together to release two new editions of the 2295 boot, which comes directly from the Dr. Martens archives.

The silhouette, which per the brand, was originally designed to  protect wearers from workplace hazards, is set to hit select stores later on this week, giving fans of both brands something to look forward to for the holiday season.

The 2295 boots are a shoe that is rooted in history, and defined by their pull-on rigger-style, rounded-toe design and tough rubber outsole. This iteration of the 2295’s features dual pull tabs, each secured with an embossed Stüssy “Workgear” patch, and is set on a rugged black BEN outsole with Dr. Martens’ signature yellow welt stitching.

Additionally, the shoes are also crafted with easy-wearing black Wanama leather and/or textured sand Hairy Suede, and contrasted with a steel toe cap that nods to the boot’s workwear heritage.

This past October, Stüssy collaborated with Converse on an exclusive edition of the Stüssy x Converse Chuck 70, which was characterized by snakeskin textured leather,  Stüssy’s remixed All-Star logo and an unaltered All-Star badge on the collar and dual-branded insole.

That release followed a collaboration earlier this summer, where the two brands linked up for a hairy suede edition of the Nike LD-1000, which is one of Nike’s longest running models. The beginning of spring saw the release of a hairy suede version of the Chuck 70s, with low-tops in red and high-tops in baby blue.

As for Dr. Martens, this fall saw the release of the brand’s Protect Pack, which was a three piece collection inspired by the history of industrial workwear that explored alternative looks of their traditional silhouettes through the concept of “innovation is deviance” by taking three iconic models and redesigning them with the wearer in mind, specifically ones looking for exaggerated aesthetics.

The two new editions of the 2295 boots are due out on December 13, and will be available in select Stüssy Chapter Stores, Dr. Martens Stores, stussy.com and drmartens.com Friday December 13th at 10am local time.
