Katie Holmes Steps Out on Her Birthday Wearing a Pair of Chic Everyday Leather Boots
Katie Holmes showed off another take on casual chic fashion while celebrating her 46th birthday in New York City on Dec. 18.
Holmes maintains a polished and smart approach to street style. For her special day, she wore a pair of Nili Lotan Emerson Jeans. The medium wash wide-leg blue jeans had lateral detailing at the knees; these cropped pants were paired with an elevated spin on a classic coat.
The outer garment was cinched at the waist with a glamorous gold belt featuring a ribbed texture and a draped chain connected to two circular adornments. Her hair was woven into a side braid and a black beanie helped her stay warm. Her stylish aura was emphasized by a pair of brown-tinted aviator sunglasses and a classic black tote.
A pair of everyday black boots pulled together Holmes’ look. The shoes appeared to be her go-to pair, the Staud’s Wally boot. The boot is available in an array of colors and they also come in knee-high and an ankle boot styles, but it’s unclear which length Holmes went for this time.

Crafted with what appeared to be a durable leather, the shoes were designed with a relatively flat vamp with a rounded, somewhat narrow square toe. A low block heel was visible in the back, contributing to the wintertime functionality of the shoe. A slouchy upper lent the boots a casual, well-loved quality.
