Mary J. Blige made an appearance in New York City on Tuesday, as she was spotted shopping and walking around in a pair of her signature pointed-toe, over-the-knee boots, this time a western style from Fendi’s Fall 2018 collection.
She opted for a pair of brown Fendi zucca coated canvas knee length wooden heel boots. Crafted with fine leather and boasting a triangular design in the upper, the closed-back design kept her foot in place, while the silhouette was completed by a stiletto heel hitting the 4 inch mark in height.
The boots were a compliment to her suede tan and white faux fur coat, and characterized by its oversized design and pockets. Known for her experimentation with red hair (which is something that dates back to the 1990s), her long red locks were parted in a middle style, paying compliment to her elegant makeup.
Boots are a regular staple in Blige’s wardrobe. In November, she attended the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet x The Beatles Capsule Collection celebration in a pair of suede pointed-toe boots that also included a sharp, triangular design and closed-back for support. While the back of the shoes couldn’t be seen completely due to her flared pant leg, the silhouette was completed by a stiletto heel hitting the 4 inch mark in height.
Earlier this fall, the “Just Fine” singer was spotted at the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet spring 2025 presentation held yesterday in New York, showcasing an elaborate pair of white thigh-high boots by Bottega Veneta that were emphasized by their over-the-knee crafting, Intrecciato woven slouchy leather uppers, square toes and leather soles. Also made with rubber-injected soles for a non-slip finish, the silhouette was rounded out by thick 4-inch stiletto heels.
Pointed-toe boots continue to be versatile go-to when it comes to classic footwear, with a storied history that dates decades. Celebrities have been choosing to wear boots of all kinds on the red carpet and at major events this fall and winter season.
